The Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF) is seeking a full-time junior forest expert to support the work of its Secretariat in Brussels for at least 6 months.
What we need
A new team member for CEPF Secretariat to contribute to policy and advocacy work. The junior EU forest expert will be carrying out the following tasks:
- Represent and frame the position of CEPF in research and innovation projects related to forest restoration, soil, resilience, and forest monitoring
- Represent and frame the position of CEPF in institutional projects on forest restoration and forest monitoring.
- Gather and analyse information at international and national level in areas of CEPF interest such as on payment for ecosystem services and sustainable finance
- Provide technical support to CEPF policy and communication team.
Job requirements
Personal qualifications
- Good writing/editing skills in English and confidence in verbal expression
- Team player who has a positive attitude and is sociable and reliable
- Ability to work independently
- EU work permit for non-EU citizens
Education and experience
- MSc. in Forest Sciences
- Experience in or strong knowledge of EU policy making
